Tax Analyst

About the role

Jellyfish is looking for a Tax Analyst to ensure tax compliance across its Latin American operations. The role focuses on direct execution of Brazilian tax routines while providing governance, monitoring, and audit of outsourced accounting firms and local partners in Mexico and Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assessment, verification, and reconciliation of corporate income taxes (IRPJ, CSLL) under Real or Presumed profit regimes in Brazil.
• Perform monthly assessments of ISS, PIS, and COFINS, and manage withholding taxes on incoming services.
• Submit all local accessory obligations on time, including EFD‑Contribuições, EFD‑Reinf, DCTF, DCTFWeb, and ECF.
• Oversee and reconcile corporate ISR calculations and IVA assessments for Mexican operations.
• Audit withholding taxes, payroll‑related tax items, and employee profit‑sharing allocations (PTU) in Mexico.
• Ensure local accounting firms correctly transmit electronic accounting records and mandatory filings.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation, including IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS, COFINS and related filing requirements.
• Familiarity with Mexican tax regulations such as ISR, IVA, and PTU.
• Experience managing tax compliance for multinational operations and coordinating with external accounting partners.
• Ability to identify and mitigate dual taxation risks and ensure adherence to legal frameworks.
