Tax Manager – Brazil

About the role

UCB is seeking a Tax Manager to lead its tax agenda in Brazil. You will act as a strategic partner, ensuring compliance across direct, indirect, and transfer‑pricing taxes while supporting the company’s mission to create value for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic and compliance‑driven tax initiatives for Brazil, covering direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing.
• Monitor legislative changes, engage with professional bodies and government agencies, and align operations with patient‑value principles.
• Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, manage audits at local, regional and federal levels, and implement tax control frameworks.
• Collaborate with legal, internal tax teams and business leaders to drive tax efficiency and provide insights on policy impacts.
• Support group tax reporting (including IAS 12) and drive tax planning to optimise the company’s tax position.
• Manage key tax projects, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting team development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Law.
• Strong experience in both direct and indirect tax.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Advanced English proficiency.
