Logistics Coordinator

About the role

This position serves as the critical bridge between procurement and operations, ensuring that all materials are expedited, cleared through customs, and delivered to vessels on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor open purchase orders (local and overseas) to guarantee vendor compliance with delivery dates.
• Identify and escalate potential manufacturing or shipping delays to procurement and technical teams.
• Coordinate with global freight forwarders to book cost‑effective air and sea shipments.
• Work closely with Brazil customs brokers to ensure accurate documentation (invoices, packing lists) and avoid port delays.
• Manage consolidation of shipments at the Brazil warehouse to optimise container space.
• Ensure last‑mile delivery to vessels in coordination with Petrobras and vessel captains.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in the procurement system (e.g., ABS NS).
• Provide backup support to the wider supply‑chain team during peak periods and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply‑chain, preferably in shipping or offshore (O&G) environments.
• Good understanding of Incoterms 2020, shipping documentation, and international freight processes.
• Familiarity with Brazil customs regulations is highly advantageous.
• Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with procurement/logistics software (e.g., ABS NS).
