Senior Data Engineering Specialist – Cloud Lakehouse

About the role

3M Brazil is looking for a Senior Data Engineering Specialist to join the Corporate Research Digital Platforms team. You will design, build and operate scalable data pipelines and data products on a modern cloud‑based Lakehouse platform, supporting analytics and AI‑driven use cases across research and business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that ingest, transform and deliver structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate pipelines with Lakehouse architecture using Databricks and Delta Lake, and connect to platform services such as DataHub for metadata, Temporal for orchestration, and AWS infrastructure.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability and cost efficiency, and troubleshoot issues related to failures, latency or data quality.
• Support onboarding of new data sources and use cases through standardized ingestion and transformation patterns.
• Enable AI and GenAI workflows by building pipelines that feed LLM‑based processes, vector search systems and downstream AI services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building production‑grade data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Lakehouse concepts and modern data engineering best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with data engineers, platform engineers, backend engineers and governance teams.
