Software Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join a remote‑first team in Brazil. The role blends exploratory manual testing with automation engineering to ensure high‑quality software experiences across web and application projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual, exploratory, functional and regression testing to uncover issues not caught by automation.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications, APIs and software products.
• Build, maintain and improve automated test scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress.
• Develop automation solutions in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Conduct API testing with Postman and code‑based approaches.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate via Git‑based workflows.
• Create and keep clear documentation for test cases, defects and QA processes.
• Evaluate AI‑driven features with specialized testing methods.
• Work closely with globally distributed engineering teams to identify defects early.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with both manual testing and test automation.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate remotely and adapt testing strategies for emerging technologies.

Required skills

• Python or JavaScript/TypeScript programming.
• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress.
• API testing tools: Postman.
• CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Git version control.
