About the role
The Marketing & Communications Associate will strengthen the visibility of Rare Brazil’s programs by turning technical results and research into clear, engaging communications for a wide range of audiences. Working closely with program teams, leadership, and external service providers, the Associate will produce written and multimedia content for digital platforms, publications, and donor‑facing materials.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Manager, Development & Engagement in shaping Rare Brazil’s marketing and communications strategy, contributing to brand guidelines, editorial standards, and content playbooks.
- Gather inputs from program teams to build annual communications plans and align content calendars with institutional priorities and global Rare campaigns.
- Translate technical program results into clear materials for newsletters, reports, websites, and social media.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external communication service providers, coordinating briefs, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring alignment with Rare’s brand and editorial voice.
- Define and maintain editorial content calendars, oversee the production of integrated digital marketing campaigns, and support the design and distribution of newsletters and other communication products.
- Monitor digital engagement metrics, compile performance data, and provide insights to refine audience‑targeted approaches.
Required profile
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and managing external vendors.
- Detail‑oriented and able to ensure consistency with brand and editorial standards.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple communication requests simultaneously.
