AWS Architect – Nuclear Division

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Architect to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure for our Nuclear division. You will ensure that our cloud environments are scalable, secure, and fully compliant with strict nuclear regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect AWS solutions that meet high‑availability, disaster‑recovery, and regulatory compliance requirements for nuclear operations.
• Develop cloud‑infrastructure strategies aligned with industry standards and security protocols.
• Lead migration of legacy systems to AWS while maintaining operational continuity.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Establish and enforce security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to satisfy NRC and NERC CIP compliance.
• Optimize cloud costs through right‑sizing, reserved instances, and efficient resource management.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor development and operations teams, and create CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools.
• Maintain architectural documentation, system diagrams, and design specifications.

Required profile

• Advanced English communication skills.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS services.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

• AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Monitoring and logging: CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
• Security practices: IAM, encryption, network segmentation.
• Cost‑optimization techniques.
• Compliance with NRC and NERC CIP requirements.
