About the role
Parexel is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join its São Paulo office. You will provide first‑level technical assistance to clinical research professionals, ensuring their laptops, desktops and peripherals are configured, deployed and maintained efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to user requests and incidents via the service‑desk ticketing system.
- Configure, install and update software applications and peripherals on workstations, laptops and mobile devices.
- Create, modify and disable user accounts, reset passwords and manage access rights.
- Perform basic hardware repairs and replacements, and conduct regular maintenance.
- Provide end‑user training, create documentation and maintain knowledge‑base articles.
- Support disaster‑recovery testing, inventory audits and IT security measures such as antivirus updates and patches.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented and customer‑focused with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communicator able to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Reliable, adaptable, patient and empathetic when supporting colleagues.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Required skills
- Laptop configuration and deployment.
- Desktop support for Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience with service‑desk ticketing systems.
- Hardware repair (memory, hard drives, peripherals).
- Antivirus updates and patch management.
