Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment

About the role

Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana seeks a dynamic Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment to lead all F&B&E operations across the resort. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, you will shape guest experiences, drive revenue, and uphold the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain operating procedures for all food, beverage and entertainment outlets, collaborating with Banquets, Outlets, and Entertainment Managers.
• Train, coach and lead high‑performance teams, fostering a culture of excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Define and communicate the strategic direction of the F&B department in partnership with the Director of Culinary and Operations Manager.
• Manage administrative duties, financial targets, and revenue growth while ensuring compliance with LQA and Forbes quality standards.
• Oversee consistent, efficient operation of beach club, bars, restaurants, room service, and banquets.
• Conduct alignment meetings, set performance goals, evaluate staff, and support succession planning.
• Address employee and guest issues promptly, maintaining an active leadership presence on the floor.
• Develop and control the F&B&E budget in line with forecasts and business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, Tourism or a related field.
• Proven experience leading Food, Beverage & Entertainment operations in luxury hotels or resorts, preferably within an international brand.
• Strong background in high‑volume, high‑demand environments with demonstrated people‑leadership excellence.
• Creative, innovative mindset comfortable with expanding operational responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and public‑relations skills for engaging guests, local community and Rio’s vibrant lifestyle.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; French or Spanish a plus.
