Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment

About the role

Guided by Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana’s promise to turn every moment into a celebration, we are looking for a dynamic Director of Food, Beverage & Entertainment. You will lead all F&B&E outlets, ensuring operational excellence, revenue growth, and unforgettable guest experiences across our beachfront resort.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and uphold the highest standards of operating procedures for all Food, Beverage & Entertainment services, collaborating with Banquets, Outlets, and Entertainment managers.
• Train, coach, and lead a high‑performance team, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and guest satisfaction.
• Define and communicate the strategic direction of the F&B department in partnership with the Director of Culinary and the Operations Manager.
• Manage administrative duties, achieve qualitative and financial targets, and focus on revenue growth and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with LQA and Forbes quality standards and guarantee consistent, efficient operation of all outlets (beach club, bars, restaurants, room service, banquets).
• Lead alignment meetings, communicate key operational and strategic information, and set performance goals.
• Conduct regular evaluations, provide coaching, and support succession planning.
• Address employee and guest matters promptly, maintaining an active leadership presence on the floor.
• Develop and manage the F&B&E budget in line with forecasts and business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, Tourism or a related field.
• Proven experience leading Food, Beverage & Entertainment operations in luxury hotels or resorts, preferably within an international brand.
• Strong background in high‑volume, high‑demand environments with demonstrated people‑leadership excellence.
• Creative, innovative mindset comfortable with leading teams, projects, and expanding operational responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and public‑relations skills for engaging guests, local residents, and the vibrant Rio community.
• Fluent Portuguese and English; French or Spanish a plus.
