Estimator Engineer – Intermediate

About the role

Our Belo Horizonte team is looking for an Intermediate Estimator Engineer to support the Minerals & Metals business line. You will be responsible for preparing investment and operational cost estimates, managing quotations, and acting as the main interface with suppliers and internal disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare CAPEX and OPEX estimates for large‑scale mining, metallurgy and infrastructure projects.
• Develop unit price compositions, including contingencies, escalations and allowances for uncertainties.
• Manage quotations, analyse commercial proposals and issue commercial evaluations.
• Perform budget preparation for civil and assembly services and analyse budget differences (BDI).
• Apply FEL methodology or similar frameworks for capital project development.
• Prepare economic and financial disbursement analyses for projects.

Required profile

• Experience preparing CAPEX/OPEX for large mining, metallurgy or infrastructure projects.
• Background in budgeting for civil and assembly services and BDI analysis.
• Knowledge of taxation and commercial proposal evaluation.
• Familiarity with FEL methodology and multidisciplinary engineering project implementation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in strategic project management environments.
