Finance & People Operations Specialist

About the role

Pyyne is an AI consulting and staff augmentation firm with offices in New York, Stockholm, Porto and Campinas. The Finance & People Operations Specialist will own the recurring back‑office engine, handling bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, benefits and expense management as the company scales globally.

Key responsibilities

• Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online and support monthly close.
• Run US payroll in Rippling and international payroll in Deel, maintaining calendars and ensuring timely cycles.
• Onboard and offboard employees and contractors across multiple countries using Rippling and Deel.
• Administer benefits enrollments and coordinate with the 401(k) provider.
• Manage client invoicing cycle, reconcile billable time and follow up on receivables.
• Administer AMEX and Rippling card programs, enforce expense policy and code transactions.
• Build and maintain runbooks for all recurring processes.

Required profile

• Professional written and spoken English; daily collaboration in English.
• Ability to work US Eastern business hours from Campinas office.
• Minimum 3 years experience managing back‑office finance or people operations for a US‑based company.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online and US payroll systems (Rippling, Gusto, ADP, Justworks or similar).
• High discretion handling confidential compensation and personal data.
• Willingness to obtain a CNPJ before start.
