Mechanical Maintenance Technician III

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician III in Curitiba. The role covers mechanical maintenance, machining, installation and automation equipment, and supports process engineers on key performance indicators such as OEE.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial machines and equipment, and machine parts of medium to high complexity
• Propose production process improvements to increase equipment yield and introduce new technologies
• Install machines and equipment, run tests and experiments and accompany the start of operations
• Develop and install high-complexity industrial automation devices (pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and mechanical drawings)
• Prepare installation validation routines (IQ) and support process engineers on metrics such as OEE, RFT and scrap
• Document changes to pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams and produce technical drawings for complex equipment
• Deliver technical training on pneumatic systems, hydraulics and machine elements
• Support production staff in repairing and revising machines, and create material lists and maintenance plans
