Medical Director – Early‑Phase Clinical Trials

About the role

This high‑impact position provides medical and scientific oversight for early‑phase clinical trials in Brazil. You will ensure patient safety, data integrity, and scientific quality while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to shape study design and interpret complex data.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific oversight for early‑phase trials, safeguarding subject safety and data quality.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, regulatory, and safety teams to design and deliver studies.
• Develop, review, and approve clinical documents such as protocols and study reports.
• Interpret trial data and deliver medical insights for evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Support medical monitoring activities in compliance with GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in risk assessment, safety evaluation, and ongoing outcome review.
• Act as the medical reference point for global clinical development teams.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid clinical qualification.
• Extensive experience in clinical research and drug development, preferably early‑phase trials.
• Background as a Principal Investigator or in medical monitoring roles.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory frameworks, and GCP.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to work in global, cross‑functional environments.
