Pharmacist Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join SME Careers as a remote, hourly contractor. In this position you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AI‑generated pharmacy content, reviewing and improving responses to ensure clinical accuracy, safety, and clarity.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated medication and pharmacy‑related answers for correctness, reasoning quality, and patient safety.
• Identify and document errors in dosing, contraindications, drug interactions, monitoring, and counseling.
• Fact‑check medical and drug information and provide precise written feedback.
• Create gold‑standard prompts and model solutions that demonstrate proper clinical reasoning.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses, ranking them by accuracy and clarity.

Required profile

• PharmD, BPharm or MPharm with an active pharmacist license (or eligibility).
• Minimum 5 years of professional pharmacy practice in any setting (community, hospital, ambulatory, etc.).
• Strong expertise in pharmacology, therapeutics, medication safety, and guideline‑based therapy.
• Excellent attention to detail for fact‑checking drug information and spotting unsafe assumptions.
• Proficient English (minimum C1 level).
