Programme Analyst (Consultant)

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a Programme Analyst to support a new project with the Municipal Government of São Gonçalo. The role will be home‑based and will involve close collaboration with UN‑Habitat’s operational and technical teams to strengthen the municipality’s capacity to monitor urban conditions and provide evidence‑based information for sustainable policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical, administrative, and management activities to ensure project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Support alignment of project activities with global agendas such as the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda.
• Provide information and analysis to aid the formulation and implementation of the city’s Strategic Plan “Novos Rumos”.
• Collaborate with UN‑Habitat’s Head of Brazil Office and other stakeholders to monitor progress and report outcomes.

Required profile

• Ability to work remotely and coordinate with UN‑Habitat teams.
• Experience in urban development or related public‑sector projects is desirable.
