Remote Support Engineer, SAP ABAP/BTP

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support and managed services for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring a remote Support Engineer, SAP ABAP/BTP, based anywhere in Brazil. The engineer provides remote support for mission-critical SAP applications, troubleshooting and fixing issues in complex, highly configured environments, and delivering fixes for clients using both SAP 4.x and ECC.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client needs and coordinate with client representatives and other SAP module experts (FI/CO, MM, SD) to deliver consistent solutions.
• Write ABAP code according to client blueprints, test it regularly and deliver programs on schedule.
• Provide technical support to end users through troubleshooting guidance and system modifications.
• Build and operate services on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma), including destinations, connectivity and XSUAA.
• Develop and manage OData/REST APIs and event-driven integrations with SAP Event Mesh.
• Deliver cloud services with SAP CAP (Node/Java) and service exposure with ABAP RAP.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines (gCTS/CTS+), automated quality checks, code reviews and transport governance.
• Optimize performance with SQLM/ST05/SAT traces and harden security with authorization checks, secrets management and audit logging.
• Integrate with BW/Analytics and support Brazil localization (Nota Fiscal, tax determination exits/BADIs).
• Own incident response under SLA, write runbooks and root-cause analyses, and share knowledge through documentation and training sessions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in ABAP, Fiori and SAP modules, and 5+ years in BTP administration and integration.
• 3+ years of knowledge of SAP FI/CO, MM and SD.
• Proven track record of bug-free code and hands-on experience with BTP, OData/REST APIs, SAP CAP and ABAP RAP.
• Proven ability to handle Brazil localization requirements and to work under SLA-driven incident response.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field; fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
• SAP certifications preferred; consulting background and experience with localizations and global implementations are an advantage.
