SAP FICO Support Engineer (Remote Brazil)

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support and managed services for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring a remote Support Engineer for SAP FICO. The role provides remote support for mission-critical SAP applications used by finance and controlling (FICO), treasury and risk management (TRM) and financial supply chain management (FSCM) clients, diagnosing issues and delivering fixes in complex, highly configured environments.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues through methodical troubleshooting of SAP applications
• Work daily with customers to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a high-quality experience
• Provide remote functional support and training for multiple SAP FI/CO modules
• Support client customizations and share implementation and best practice advice
• Create application break fixes for critical defects and scripts to find and fix data issues
• Act as technical/functional advisor for one or more assigned accounts
• Use proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, in a 24x7x365 support organization
• Share knowledge, diagnostics and processes with the virtual team

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant SAP experience, especially SAP FICO; TRM and FSCM skills welcome
• 5+ years of direct support of application end-users in a corporate environment
• Track record in several SAP implementation or upgrade projects and a history of solving complex problems
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; Brazilian localization tax knowledge (e.g. Sped, ICMS/IPI, NFe) is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field

Required skills

• Expertise with SAP 4.x and ECC, including configuration, administration and maintenance/patching
• Debugging and troubleshooting, with strong knowledge of tables and relationships
• Customization and extension methodologies, and excellent development skills with the SAP toolset
• Communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred: at least 5 years of hands-on implementation experience in Brazil with two full life-cycle implementations, SAP certifications, a consulting background and knowledge of country-specific solutions.
