Senior Accountant – Construction & Project Accounting

About the role

The Senior Accountant, Construction & Project Accounting, supports accounting activities for capital expenditures, construction‑in‑progress, fixed assets and technology project investments. The role works closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering, IT and Tax teams to ensure accurate accounting, compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review general‑ledger journal entries for CAPEX, CIP, project accounting and fixed assets.
• Manage a portfolio of construction and technology projects from initiation through capitalization and closeout.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to support project accounting and capitalization decisions.
• Monitor CIP activity, capitalization events, transfers to fixed assets and project closures.
• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, including variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain SOX control documentation and audit support materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional experience in accounting, financial close and general‑ledger activities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup functions.
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
