Senior Buyer – Sheet Metal & Fasteners

About the role

Volvo Group is looking for a Senior Buyer to lead the procurement of sheet metal and fasteners in its Curitiba location. You will be responsible for ensuring quality, delivery, cost and feature targets (QDCF) across the supplier base while supporting the segment’s business plan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies that improve supply‑chain performance and product quality.
• Drive negotiations and executive agreements with suppliers in the Tanks, Tubes & Structural Parts segment.
• Collaborate with the global network of buyers and supply‑chain teams to execute worldwide technology and sourcing initiatives.
• Utilise the Volvo Production System (VPS) toolbox to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain.
• Monitor and improve supplier QDCF performance during production and post‑production phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior commodity or strategic buyer, preferably in sheet metal, fasteners or related automotive components.
• Strong track record of delivering cost reductions, quality improvements and reliable delivery.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, production and global procurement teams.
• Based in Curitiba, Brazil, reporting to the Head of Sheet Metals & Fasteners Purchasing.
