Senior Data Engineer (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our centralized Human Resources Data Mart team. You will design, build, and maintain secure, high‑quality data pipelines and cloud infrastructure that power workforce analytics for international enterprise centers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain secure ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, PySpark, Python and Apache Airflow to ingest HR data from REST APIs, real‑time streams and external platforms.
• Provision and manage scalable cloud resources with Terraform, AWS Glue, EMR and S3.
• Design and maintain data models, marts and warehouses in Snowflake and Google BigQuery.
• Build semantic layers and ontology views on top of dbt models for BI tools and LLM agents.
• Configure generative AI query agents using Snowflake Cortex and maintain Model Context Protocol connections.
• Monitor pipelines to ensure 99.5% uptime, implement data quality tests, handle PII securely and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
• Strong Python scripting skills and experience with REST API integrations.
• Proficiency in Apache Airflow orchestration and advanced SQL.
• Experience handling large‑scale sensitive data (PII) and writing comprehensive documentation.
• Fluent English communication and ability to work in Agile, remote teams.
