Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Monks is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join its Quality Assurance team. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our software products by designing and executing comprehensive test plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement test strategies and detailed test cases for new and existing features.
• Create, maintain, and run automated UI and API test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to provide a QA perspective from the start of each sprint.
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira, and work with developers to achieve resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback.
• Perform regression testing, root‑cause analysis, and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in both manual and automated software testing.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a quality‑first attitude.

Required skills

• Programming: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium.
• API testing: Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured.
• SQL for data validation.
• Version control: Git, BitBucket.
• Bug tracking: Jira.
• Performance testing (optional): JMeter, Locust.
• Security testing principles (optional).
• Cloud platforms (optional): AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Containerization (optional): Docker, Kubernetes.
