Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Contract (São Paulo)

About the role

First Help Financial is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing efforts for a fast‑growing fintech team in São Paulo. The role is contract‑based and hybrid, requiring one day per week in the office and an additional day each month. You will work closely with the Scrum team to ensure high‑quality releases for our auto‑loan platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to define a long‑term quality strategy.
• Participate in grooming, estimating, and testing user stories within each sprint.
• Track, report, and verify bugs using appropriate tools.
• Manage testing resources to meet sprint and epic goals.
• Create smoke, sanity, performance, and reliability tests as needed.
• Provide quality metrics and insights into software health.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies and become the QA expert for the team.

Required profile

• Stable career history with at least 4 years of QA experience in an Agile environment.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Strong bias for action and “shift‑left” testing mindset.
• Experience with financial software or related domains is a plus.
