Senior Structural Design Engineer

About the role

Boeing is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join its Commercial Aircraft Structures team in Brazil. The role focuses on developing, integrating, and documenting structural modifications for a wide range of 7‑Series Boeing products and fleet, ensuring safety, quality, and performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and document structural modifications on system and sub‑system levels.
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and design tools.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
• Lead functional excellence plans and strategic initiatives within the structures team.
• Consolidate internal and external communications and reviews with partners.
• Support in‑service products by investigating failures and recommending improvements.
• Develop engineering processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency.
• Lead resolution of product non‑conformities impacting structural integrity.
• Mentor junior engineers and serve as a role model for the team.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Brazil.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Materials Engineering.
• Registration or eligibility to register with the Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia (CREA).
• Extensive experience in structures engineering.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
