SEO & AEO Specialist – Technical & AI Search Optimization

About the role

We are seeking a highly structured, detail‑oriented SEO & AEO Specialist to optimise newly published web pages using advanced technical SEO, on‑page best practices and AI‑driven answer optimisation. The role works within an established workflow to boost content visibility, search readiness and page performance from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Baseline each assigned URL in Google Search Console (queries, impressions, CTR, position, indexing signals).
• Generate and implement recommendations using SEMrush tools (On‑Page SEO Checker, Site Audit, Writing Assistant) and other optimisation platforms.
• Deliver page updates: title/meta tags, headers, internal linking, content enhancements and technical fixes.
• Improve answer‑readiness for AEO by creating clear direct answers, scoped sections, entity clarity and supporting evidence.
• Coordinate edits with writers and content coordinators, providing rapid, consistent updates.
• Provide daily lightweight Slack check‑ins and maintain a before/after performance tracker.
• Identify and share additional tool‑driven opportunities that materially improve ranking or AI answer visibility.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on SEO experience with measurable page‑level outcomes.
• Strong fluency with Google Search Console and SEMrush workflows.
• Proven ability to optimise for both traditional SEO signals and AEO requirements.
• Experience using technical crawlers, content optimisation platforms, competitive research tools and AI visibility monitoring solutions.
• Excellent judgment to prioritise recommendations based on search intent, target audience alignment and optimisation potential.
• Clear, concise communication skills for effective collaboration with writers, editors and coordinators.
