SLCP Coordinator – Brazil (Brasilia)

About the role

The SLCP Coordinator will support the Secretariat of Urban Environment, Water Resources and Environmental Quality of Brazil's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (SQA/MMA). The role focuses on day‑to‑day coordination of the Short‑Lived Climate Pollutant (SLCP) unit, aligning activities with Brazil’s policy framework and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Accelerator.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily coordination of SLCP unit activities and initiatives.
• Ensure integration of climate and clean‑air approaches with Brazil’s SLCP strategy.
• Oversee the portfolio of SLCP projects, monitor progress against work plans, and assess expected impacts.
• Promote consistency and synergies across interventions and facilitate cross‑ministerial collaboration.
• Develop new partnerships to advance SLCP mitigation nationwide.
• Coordinate with the CCAC Secretariat to align the unit’s work with the Brazil CCAC Accelerator, track project progress, and identify collaboration opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating environmental or climate‑related initiatives.
• Familiarity with short‑lived climate pollutants and related policy contexts.
• Ability to work with ministries, sub‑national entities, and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong project monitoring and reporting skills.
