Software Engineer I – Verification IP

About the role

Cadence is looking for a motivated Software Engineer I to join the Verification IP (VIP) team within the Memory Modeling group in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. You will work on cutting‑edge hardware device models and help customers verify memory designs.

Key responsibilities

• Test, validate, and deploy enhancements on hardware device models for key customers.
• Collaborate with R&D to design, implement, and test new features for next‑generation VIP tools.
• Troubleshoot complex memory‑verification issues, including simulation failures, coverage gaps, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide clear technical explanations to customers with varying expertise levels.
• Support customer projects by reproducing and fixing issues in‑house to accelerate debugging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming, advanced data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and comfortable working in a Unix environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Portuguese.
