Software Engineer

About the role
Liferay is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join its open‑source enterprise platform team. You will help build and improve a product used by global companies, working in a multidisciplinary and diverse environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new features of moderate complexity and fix bugs in a long‑term software product.
- Write clean, high‑quality Java code following Liferay’s standards.
- Participate in peer‑review processes, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
- Create and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure functional coverage.
- Collaborate with Design, Project Management, and Product Management to deliver great user experiences.
Required profile
- Strong motivation to learn quickly and take on new challenges.
- Proactive attitude with good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Team‑player who can propose improvements and accept suggestions humbly.
