Support Engineer, SAP Basis (Evergreen)

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support, managed services and SAP support, is hiring a remote Support Engineer, SAP Basis (Evergreen) for Brazil. The role provides remote support for mission-critical SAP applications within a global customer support team, researching, troubleshooting and fixing issues in complex, highly configured environments.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues through methodical troubleshooting and provide remote functional support and training for specialist SAP modules.
• Work daily with customers to understand their needs, support business change and share implementation and best-practice advice on customizations.
• Develop application break fixes for critical defects, create scripts to find and correct data issues, and manage assigned accounts as technical/functional advisor.
• Use proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity, and contribute to knowledge-sharing methods and diagnostic tools.
• Work in a 24x7x365 support organization, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and collaborate virtually with team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of all-round SAP experience, particularly with SAP Basis.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English; another language is desirable.
• Nice to have: SAP certification, consulting background, and experience with global implementations.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of at least two of: Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX or Windows.
• Databases such as Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2, Sybase or SAP HANA, and good experience with SLT installation and configuration.
• Expertise in SAP HANA in-memory platform, including architecture, landscape design, installation, upgrades, performance tuning and migration.
• Knowledge of S/4 HANA, maintenance/patching mechanics and SAP architecture.
• Client-facing support, strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
