Vice President, Credit Risk

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President of Credit Risk to lead second‑line oversight of credit risk across its Brazil portfolio. This senior position ensures alignment with local regulations, global standards, and the company’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent second‑line oversight of credit risk in Brazil in line with Regulation 522.
• Maintain and enforce credit risk governance, policies, and documentation.
• Oversee the Brazil Credit Risk Assessment framework, stress testing, back‑testing, and model performance monitoring.
• Monitor portfolio performance, concentrations, and emerging risks against approved risk appetite.
• Represent Credit Risk with regulators, the Brazil Risk Committee, and senior stakeholders.
• Lead regulatory reviews, examinations, and audits related to credit risk.
• Contribute senior leadership and strategic direction within the Credit Risk function.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit risk management, preferably within financial services.
• Deep knowledge of Brazilian regulatory requirements and central bank expectations.
• Proven ability to develop and enforce risk governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior business, finance, compliance, and risk partners.
