Distinguished Technical Architect

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Distinguished Technical Architect to lead the design of transformative, AI‑powered solutions for its most strategic customers. This senior position sits within the Solution Engineering Architecture organization and influences both technical strategy and product direction.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead technical solution architecture strategy for complex, high‑value engagements, leveraging Agentforce, Data Cloud and the broader Salesforce Platform.
• Lead executive architecture workshops, technical discovery sessions, and architecture reviews, translating business challenges into scalable technical roadmaps.
• Create reusable reference architectures, best‑practice frameworks, and implementation patterns used across Solution Engineering.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success and partner ecosystem to shape product strategy and ensure solution integrity.
• Publish thought leadership on AI transformation, technical architecture, and enablement programs; mentor architects and represent Salesforce at industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Solution Engineering, Technical Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or similar customer‑facing technical role.
• Proven track record designing technical solutions for complex business and technology environments.
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders and present complex concepts clearly.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in Salesforce platform components: Agentforce, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, MuleSoft, Slack, Tableau.
• Experience with AI capabilities, AI governance, security, compliance and responsible AI.
• Designing scalable solutions on public clouds such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of enterprise applications, APIs, integration patterns, event‑driven architectures, data architecture and MDM.
