Software Engineer (Python)

About the role

Pyyne is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with 2‑5 years of Python experience to work remotely from Brazil or Argentina on a custom AI intelligence tool for a US‑based client. You will collaborate closely with a senior engineer, own well‑scoped tasks and deliver frequent, visible increments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve Python features and services for a custom AI solution.
• Ship small, well‑tested changes regularly and keep the client informed.
• Adapt quickly to shifting client priorities and support LLM and RAG components.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional Python experience.
• Ability to work independently on well‑scoped tasks and ask for help when needed.
• Clear, proactive communication and a delivery mindset.

Required skills

• Python (asyncio), FastAPI or similar REST framework.
• SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy with schema migrations.
• Automated testing with pytest.
• Git version control.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search (e.g., pgvector).
• Docker and cloud deployment (AWS preferred).
• Message queues/background workers (e.g., SQS).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
