High School Learning Support Teacher

About the role

The International School of Curitiba is looking for a passionate Learning Support Teacher for its high school program. The role focuses on delivering inclusive, student‑centered instruction and supporting learners with diverse needs in line with the school’s Modern Learning approach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and document Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families and specialists, ensuring legal compliance and digital signatures.
• Provide targeted, differentiated instruction and support classroom teachers in creating inclusive learning environments using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
• Collect and analyse assessment data, monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
• Facilitate IEP meetings, case discussions and professional learning community sessions.
• Communicate regularly with families to build trust and shared accountability.
• Engage in continuous professional development in Special Education.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and a postgraduate qualification in Special Education.
• Minimum two years of experience in learning support or special education, preferably in an international school.
• Strong understanding of diverse learning profiles, including specific learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and social‑emotional needs.
• Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent oral and written English.
