Internal Audit Specialist (Technology & Risk)

About the role

CloudWalk is seeking a hands‑on Internal Audit professional who combines a passion for technology with strong assurance expertise. You will partner with business, product and risk teams to provide independent assurance while enabling safe, innovative growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute internal audit engagements from start‑to‑finish, including reporting and follow‑up.
• Develop and maintain an annual audit plan based on risk assessments, regulatory requirements and evolving products.
• Audit technology domains such as IT general controls, cybersecurity, data governance, as well as financial products and business processes.
• Identify control deficiencies, risk exposures and opportunities for automation and efficiency.
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with product, compliance and risk teams to implement and monitor remediation plans.
• Monitor emerging risks linked to AI, new products, regulatory changes and market trends.
• Advance the audit function through automation tools, data analytics and continuous monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Solid experience in internal audit, risk management or internal controls within regulated financial institutions, fintechs or technology‑driven firms.
• Proven ability to lead audit engagements independently from planning through reporting.
• Strong interest in technology, automation and emerging risks.
