Maintenance Planner & Repair Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Planner & Repair Engineer plans, coordinates and supports the execution of maintenance and repair activities to keep offshore assets and equipment safe, reliable and efficient. The role combines maintenance planning with technical engineering support, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Vendors, OEMs and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintenance planning: plan and schedule preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance; develop work packages with labor, materials, procedures and resources; manage backlogs and coordinate schedules with Operations
• Repair engineering: troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic and subsea equipment; prepare repair scopes, evaluate failures and recommend repair or replacement; take part in root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Projects and shipyard support: help plan rig upgrades, major repairs, shipyard projects and overhauls; coordinate with contractors, vendors and OEMs; support inspection, testing, commissioning and close-out
• Materials and vendor management: coordinate procurement of spare parts, monitor critical inventory and liaise with OEMs and service providers
• Compliance, safety and reporting: ensure compliance with standards and regulations, keep accurate records in the CMMS, promote safety and prepare reports and technical documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, marine engineering or a related technical discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance engineering or equipment repair in offshore drilling, marine, oil & gas or heavy industry
• Preferred: experience supporting major maintenance campaigns, shipyard projects or equipment overhauls

Required skills

• Experience with maintenance management systems such as SAP, Maximo or AMOS
• Knowledge of CMMS record keeping
