Programme Analyst

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a Programme Analyst to support the second phase of its Social Territories Program in Rio de Janeiro. Working closely with programme, operations and project teams, the analyst will help implement activities that strengthen the municipality’s inter‑sectoral strategy for tackling multidimensional urban poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to ensure project activities align with defined objectives and outputs.
• Assist in the design and execution of communication and awareness campaigns.
• Contribute to the development of strategic and technical frameworks and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Support data collection, analysis and management processes.
• Organise and facilitate trainings, workshops, consultations and participatory processes, ensuring inclusive approaches.

Required profile

• Experience in programme implementation within urban development or related sectors.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to work collaboratively with multi‑sectoral stakeholders.
• Ability to produce, integrate and use territorial evidence to inform policy and practice.
