Regional Industry 4.0 Project Manager – South America

About the role

Magotteaux is seeking a Regional Industry 4.0 Project Manager to lead the digital transformation of its South American manufacturing sites. The role focuses on deploying SCADA, MES, and other industrial digitalization solutions while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and local plant needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define requirements and oversee deployment of SCADA, MES, process historians, and related digitalization systems.
• Manage vendors and system integrators through specifications, installation, and validation.
• Maintain the regional digitalization roadmap and ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity and IT/OT architecture standards.
• Develop monitoring, administration, and security strategies for OT infrastructure, including PLCs, SCADA servers, switches, and edge devices.
• Collaborate with data science, AI, computer vision, robotics, and cloud teams on innovative projects.
• Lead CAPEX and budget planning for Industry 4.0 initiatives and present proposals to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Automation Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Solid experience in industrial automation and hands‑on knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Proven track record of MES implementation and IT/OT integration.
• Experience managing budgets and cross‑functional projects.
• Familiarity with IoT, AI, computer vision, robotics or cloud technologies is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in IT security, governance or SAP integration are highly valued.
