Sales Manager - HVDC (Latin America)

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY BRASIL is looking for a Sales Manager for its High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) business across Latin America, based in Guarulhos, São Paulo. You will lead the sales of some of the largest and most advanced HVDC solutions and be operationally responsible for an allocated project team.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and negotiate major HVDC opportunities and run an allocated project team of tender managers, engineers, lawyers, tax advisors, financing specialists and service experts.
• Work with account management, front-end sales teams and country representatives to identify consortium partners and local contractors or suppliers.
• Develop business development for new market opportunities and build customer relationships to understand needs and promote the full offering.
• Develop sales strategies and capture plans, run regular status reviews and lead capture teams from early pursuit through offer preparation with the bid and proposal department.
• Lead consortia of internal entities or set up external consortia, and drive negotiations to close deals under the best conditions.
• Promote internal knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration with a technical background.
• Experience with EP or EPC contracts and strong commercial expertise in selling large infrastructure projects.
• Strong network and in-depth knowledge of the electricity sector; institutional knowledge or networks are an advantage.
• Proven negotiation and closing skills, and a supportive leadership style with the ability to coach and motivate teams.
• Willingness to travel.
