Senior Data Analyst (Finance)

About the role

Exadel is recruiting a Senior Data Analyst (Finance) for a leading Brazilian financial technology client. The role partners with Finance teams to turn their business processes, rules and requirements into scalable data solutions, supporting finance activities and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Finance teams to understand business processes, rules, requirements and operational needs, and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Develop SQL queries, analyses, notebooks, dashboards and automations to support Finance activities and decision-making.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformation processes and validation routines, ensuring reliable and traceable data.
• Support critical Finance processes such as financial close, reconciliations, controls and regulatory reporting.
• Investigate data inconsistencies, identify root causes and implement solutions to improve data reliability and process efficiency.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, governance and traceability controls.
• Document business rules, workflows, processes and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Product, Data, Risk and Audit teams, and manage priorities end-to-end.

Required profile

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, combined with practical experience in data analysis, transformation and validation.
• Ability to translate business rules and financial or operational requirements into technical logic and data solutions.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, security and traceability principles.
• Familiarity with financial, accounting or operational processes and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Nice to have: experience in Controllership, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury or Regulatory Reporting, and knowledge of IFRS, financial close and regulatory reporting.
• Nice to have: experience in regulated and audit-driven environments, and intermediate/upper-intermediate English.
