Senior Financial Analyst – Operations Finance

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Brazil Operations Finance team. You will partner with transportation, retail and finance stakeholders to provide decision support, financial modeling, and cost‑reduction insights for a fast‑growing organization.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver business insights and financial leadership.
• Develop and maintain reporting metrics, financial models, and forecasts.
• Lead variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews and identify risks and opportunities.
• Drive operational planning, three‑year strategic planning, and cost‑improvement initiatives.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects, automation, and process‑improvement efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, statistics or a related field.
• Experience in finance or a related analytical role, applying KPIs and conducting quantitative analysis.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to identify, lead, and execute finance‑tool improvements.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
• Experience with cube engine tools such as TM1, Cognos or Essbase.
• Data‑warehouse concepts and usage.
