Senior Lead Fullstack Java/Angular Engineer

About the role

FBS (Farmer Business Services), part of Farmers' operations, is looking for a Senior Lead Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Angular and/or Java. The role provides technical leadership across Angular-based web applications, Java backend services, API integrations and digital application delivery, covering solution design, code quality, engineering best practices and end-to-end implementation. Capgemini acts as Employer of Record, handling local payroll and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage specialized system applications throughout their lifecycle so they meet business needs
• Analyze complex business and user requirements and develop advanced software solutions
• Work independently, except in the most complex situations
• Lead complex or cross-functional projects and manage relationships with vendors and contractors
• Own the architecture and technical design of new initiatives, create proof of concepts and mentor teams
• Enforce quality and best practices, support production issue analysis, keep projects within budget, provide estimates for features and epics and support pre-grooming

Required profile

• 7+ years as a fullstack engineer with Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript (Angular)
• 1+ year of experience managing teams and leading team members
• Experience on the frontend with Angular and TypeScript, and on the backend with Java
• Experience with microservices architecture, software design patterns and RESTful APIs
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Knowledge of Agile methodology

Nice to have

• Understanding of the Node.js backend framework
