Teaching Assistant – Early Years

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to support our Early Years program in Belo Horizonte. You will work closely with Head Teachers to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Head Teachers during lessons, guiding students through activities.
• Prepare, distribute and collect classroom materials.
• Support implementation of pedagogical projects and initiatives.
• Organise the classroom and learning spaces, including decorations and bulletin boards.
• Adapt activities for children with special educational needs to ensure inclusion.
• Supervise student safety and well‑being at all times, including during meals and arrival/departure.
• Lead the class when the Head Teacher is temporarily absent.
• Capture classroom moments through photos or videos and share them as required.
• Participate in academic meetings, training workshops and school events with families.
• Follow Red House’s educational guidelines, such as the Language Policy and Assessment Policy.

Required profile

• Currently studying or graduated in Pedagogy.
• Preferably at least 2 years of classroom experience, especially in Early Childhood Education.
