Tech Lead - Remote Brazil

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Tech Lead to lead engineering development for a product team. The role suits someone with strong software development experience who cares about code quality, plans and executes strategies to support future architecture, improves team processes and mentors other engineers. It is remote, based in Brazil.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering development for a product team and plan and execute strategies to support future architecture
• Contribute to improving team processes and mentor other experienced engineers
• Design and implement solutions to difficult problems, from architecture design to implementation
• Create production-grade Python code handling high traffic, measure outcomes and improve the product
• Take responsibility for parts of the systems, analyse user usage and evolve the platform
• Participate in launches of new microservices, hackdays and team-building activities
• Mentor colleagues through code reviews, architecture design sessions and pair programming

Required profile

• Hands-on software engineering experience with clean code, testing, design patterns and software architecture
• Proven experience designing, building and scaling distributed systems and microservices in high-traffic production environments
• Experience leading technical initiatives end-to-end and mentoring engineers
• Business English proficiency

Required skills

• Event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Concurrency, asynchronous processing, resilience and fault tolerance
• Relational databases, SQL, RESTful APIs and performance optimization
• Nice to have: Python (Django or Flask), PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Agile teams
