UI Programmer

About the role

Epic Games is looking for a User Interface Programmer who is passionate about games and well versed in C++, UI development and mobile development. The role works closely with artists, designers and other programmers on cutting-edge features that support player experiences across Fortnite.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with art and design so that UI meets aesthetic and functional requirements.
• Pay close attention to details, especially compliance, layout and design.
• Optimize and fix bugs in existing UI systems.
• Contribute ideas to all aspects of the game's production and development.
• Write robust, maintainable and performant code.

Required profile

• Firm grasp of C++ and technical fundamentals.
• Experience developing with Unreal Engine.
• Mobile profiling and optimization skills.
• General experience with web services.
• Passion for games and great user experiences.
• A keen analytical mind with mature problem-solving skills.
• Enjoys working with a cross-disciplinary, geographically distributed team.
