Solutions Architect - Public Safety

About the role

Motorola Solutions is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to design and champion mission-critical technology for police, fire and health agencies in Latin America. The role sits in the International Command Centre Software presales team, which defines, designs and demonstrates software solutions based on the public safety portfolio, and supports regional sales teams with technical expertise and knowledge of how solutions are deployed and managed in service.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical architect for public safety clients, designing solutions that integrate the company's applications with their existing infrastructure and business processes.
• Use a consultative approach to understand customer challenges, leading technical presentations, demonstrations and workshops.
• Analyse customer environments, including IT infrastructure, IP networks and software systems, to validate proposed solutions.
• Coordinate with internal sales teams, product managers, engineers and external partners to build a cohesive solution.
• Develop and articulate transition and implementation plans for customers.
• Maintain expertise in public safety technologies and control room operations, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Candidates must reside in Sao Paulo and submit their resume in English.
• Several years of experience in the detailed design and deployment of complex IT solutions, to earn credibility with customers.
• Fluent spoken and written Portuguese and English, able to document complex technical solutions for customers.
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or a two-year technical degree with at least 2 years of military experience, or at least 3 years in an external customer-facing role in telecommunications or IT.

Required skills

• The ability to sell technically: present, demonstrate and write about complex IT-based solutions.
• Desirable: good understanding of control room business processes used by public safety agencies in Brazil, Chile and other Latin American countries.
• Desirable: experience with the Motorola Solutions portfolio or competitor offerings in the control room business.
• Desirable: knowledge of company and competitor technologies, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• Advantageous certifications such as MCSE, MSNE, CWNA, CCNA/CCDP, CISSP.

The position is office-based in Sao Paulo, with up to 50% of time spent at Motorola Solutions or customer offices in Latin America as required for specific projects, and travel of 25-50%. Relocation is provided.
